WHAT TO PREPARE
Please prepare a musical theatre song and a comedic monologue.
Though AMTC produces theatre for young audiences, it is not necessary to perform a song or monologue from a TYA play.
Please bring sheet music in the correct key for your song. An accompanist will be provided for your audition.
If you play an instrument, please bring it and perform a very short song.
Actors may be asked to read from the script after their audition or attend an additional callback.
This season, AMTC will perform for more than 50,000 students across Alberta.
We are devoted to proudly representing the enormous diversity of our magnificent audiences in the creation of our work.
We strongly encourage and enthusiastically welcome artists of all cultures and ethnicities, LGBTQIA2S+ artists, and artists with disabilities to express interest in our auditions.
Our hope is to let our work come to beautiful life by embracing your unique personality, experience, and body. So please feel comfortable in applying to audition, and please feel free to be exactly who you are!
We cannot wait to meet you!
