Everybody, yeah, is going to the Backstreet Boys, yeah. Or, at least that is how it seems as the boy band now well into their ’50s is adding a 12th Toronto concert to their upcoming Rogers Centre residency. The announcement set a new venue record surpassing previous marks held by Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
The group’s Into the Millennium—Homecoming: Live in Canada residency begins Feb. 12, 2027, and will now span four weekends in February and March.
The band initially announced four Toronto shows, but strong ticket demand led to additional dates, first expanding the run to nine concerts and now 12. The residency could attract nearly 500,000 fans to Rogers Centre and be a massive economic impact for the city.
“Canada has always held a special place in the Backstreet Boys story. Very early on in our careers you welcomed us, believed in us, and showed up for us in a way that we’ve never forgotten. Now, we’re coming HOME to celebrate our biggest album ‘Millennium’ with you!” the band wrote, in part, on a social media post.
Toronto is currently the band’s only announced North American stop on the tour.
The group last performed in Toronto in 2022, when Drake joined them on stage for their hit song I Want It That Way.
