Boston Blue star Marcus Scribner, who plays Jonah Silver, confirmed to Sherri Shepherd that he is engaged to be married. But he didn’t reveal the name of his bride-to-be, keeping that aspect of his personal life private.
Shepherd sleuthed out that little detail when she was checking out his Instagram, but it took some dedication because the photo is buried and not the top photo.
“I saw something, and I was like, ‘What is this?’” Shepherd said when Scribner guested on her March 12 episode. “I saw two hands and an engagement ring. Should I be congratulating you?”

“Yes, you should be congratulating me,” Scribner admitted. “I am engaged to be married sometime this year. We’re keeping it a little bit low key.”
Then he went on to share some of the wedding details, “I’m stressing about invites right now. I don’t know if anybody’s done a wedding before — I mean, has anybody ever been married? I’m not sure, but like cutting down the list and everything is stressing me.”
Then Shepherd jumped in with some advice, “Can I tell you what I did for husband one and husband 1A? For the invitation, I said, ‘If you have not talked about your significant other for more than 15 minutes, you can’t bring anybody. You’ve got to come by yourself. “
Scribner agreed, and Shepherd went on, “If you’re married, you’ve got to bring the spouse. We didn’t do children, but if you haven’t talked about that one, then she or he can’t come.”
Scribner added, “That’s a good one. I like that rule. I actually have a younger brother who’s three years old now, so he’s going to be doing the ring bearing. He’s the only kid who’s going to be at the wedding.”

Then when Shepherd hinted that she likes to attend weddings, Scribner said, “Check your mailbox.”
Above is the Instagram announcement. The photo of the two hands is the third picture in with Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan on Boston Blue, commenting in emojis: “🙏🏼❤️🥂”
As for his role on Boston Blue, which is currently airing the second half of its first season, the focus will be shifting away from the Reagans and more on the Silvers, so we might see more screen time with Scribner.
“The spotlight shifts a bit away from Danny and Sean,” Mika Amonsen, who plays Scribner’s on-screen partner Sean Reagan, told Us.
Boston Blue airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Streams next day on Paramount+.
