Country star Ella Langley has broken another record during her massive Billboard Hot 100 streak. The singer’s smash hit “Choosin’ Texas” has joined an elite class of tracks, becoming one of only 26 historic songs to spend 12 weeks or more at No. 1.

Released on October 17, 2025 as the official lead single for her sophomore studio album, Dandelion, “Choosin’ Texas” has experienced unprecedented global success. The song first entered the Hot 100 at No. 39 on November 1. Shortly after, the track vaulted to the top, beginning its dominant, non-consecutive 12-week run at No. 1 on February 9, 2026.

During its staggering multi-week reign, the song has only been briefly overtaken five times by major single releases, including “DtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Opalite” by Taylor Swift, “I Just Might” by Bruno Mars, “SWIM” by BTS and “Drop Dead” by Olivia Rodrigo. Despite the occasional knock-downs from these powerhouse pop releases, the song has continuously persevered, pushing back to the top spot with no signs of slowing down.

With its newest chart-topping week added to the tally, “Choosin’ Texas” officially cements Langley’s name in the history books. Reaching the 12-week milestone places her alongside massive industry titans like Mariah Carey, Harry Styles and Bruno Mars. This historic achievement makes Langley the first primary female country artist to command the Hot 100 for this length of time, breaking long-standing gender boundaries on the mainstream charts.

The singer reached this feat amid her headlining North American trek, dubbed The Dandelion Tour. During the six-month run, she has made several major festival appearances and served as a supporting act for select dates on country music giant Morgan Wallen’s Still the Problem Tour. The high demand for her live performances and explosive commercial success only further her career momentum.

Alongside her Hot 100 reign, Langley is currently holding the No. 1 position on three distinct Billboard country charts simultaneously. She is topping both the Hot Country Songs chart and Country Streaming Songs chart with “Choosin’ Texas” while completely dominating the Top Country Albums tally with Dandelion, which also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Her massive impact on both the country genre and mainstream music has made for the ultimate crossover success story.
