Netflix is set to become the international streaming home for the high-stakes Fox drama The Cleaning Lady, with the Elodie Yung-led series scheduled to drop in multiple regions on April 1st, 2026.

Developed by Miranda Kwok and based on the Argentine series La Chica Que Limpia, the show follows Thony De La Rosa (played by Yung), a whip-smart Cambodian-Filipino doctor who comes to the United States for medical treatment to save her son. When the system fails her, she becomes a “cleaning lady” for organized crime, using her medical expertise to scrub crime scenes and stay ahead of the law.

The series ultimately wasn’t renewed for a fifth season, with declining viewership cited as one of the reasons for its cancellation.

Who is in the cast of The Cleaning Lady?

The series is led by Elodie Yung, who many Netflix fans will recognize as Elektra Natchios from the Marvel Defenders saga (specifically Daredevil and The Defenders).

The cast also includes:

  • Adan Canto as Arman Morales, the mobster who recruits Thony. Tragically, Canto passed away in early 2024, leading to significant narrative shifts in the later seasons.
  • Martha Millan as Fiona De La Rosa, Thony’s sister-in-law and closest confidante.
  • Oliver Hudson as Garrett Miller, the FBI agent trailing Thony.
  • Sebastien and Valentino LaSalle share the role of Thony’s son, Luca.
  • Kate del Castillo and Santiago Cabrera, who joined in later seasons to expand the show’s underworld lore.

A Look Back: The Show’s Journey on FOX

The Cleaning Lady first premiered on FOX in January 2022 as a mid-season replacement. It quickly became a breakout hit for the network, praised for its breakneck pacing and for being the first primetime DACA-focused protagonist on American television.

The show ran for a total of four seasons on the network, totaling 44 episodes. While it was a co-production between FOX Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, the underlying rights and international distribution are handled by Warner Bros. Discovery, which has been on a licensing spree since Netflix confirmed their deal to buy the studio assets last December (although that’s no longer the case as of publishing, with Paramount set to take over the company instead).

When will The Cleaning Lady be on Netflix?

Multiple Netflix regions: Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia on April 1st, 2026 – check your local New & Popular tab to see if it’s coming where you live.

Not the United States is currently streaming in full on HBO Max and partially on Hulu, according to JustWatch.

While the show is landing in the UK and Canada first, we have seen other major regions— parts of Europe and Latin America—picking up various WBTV shows after other regions have.
