Evolution Hospitality, a subdivision of Aimbridge Hospitality, has appointed Matthew Boettcher as Senior Vice President, Operations. In this role, Boettcher will oversee operations for the company’s lifestyle, soft-brand, and premium portfolio, with responsibilities including improving property performance, owner returns, and guest experiences. He will report to Chris Tatum, President of Full Service Division for Aimbridge and Evolution Hospitality.
Boettcher brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality operations, brand strategy, and food-and-beverage initiatives across the lifestyle, boutique, and soft-brand segments. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Category Leader, Premium & Endorsed Brands for Marriott International, where he led strategic initiatives for brands including Autograph Collection, Tribute Portfolio, Westin, Renaissance, and Le Méridien. His work at Marriott included oversight of brand operations, supporting a broad portfolio of properties, and advancing brand positioning, guest experience innovation, and owner returns.
A sommelier with experience ranging from luxury fine dining to large-scale premium hotel operations, Boettcher has designed bar and restaurant programs that strengthen brand identity, deliver operational excellence, improve food-and-beverage profitability, and create elevated guest experiences.
Boettcher holds a Master of Business Administration from The College of William & Mary and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. He will be based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.
