Hollister is making a comeback in Calgary, with a new store location on the way at CF Chinook Centre. The popular clothing brand was once a staple for many shoppers, and soon Calgarians will have the chance to revisit the retailer that became a huge part of early 2000s mall culture. With signage already spotted inside the mall and more details starting to come together, it looks like the new location is one step closer to opening its doors.

Hollister’s return to CF Chinook Centre
For shoppers who remember visiting Hollister at CF Chinook Centre years ago, the brand’s return will look a little different this time around. According to Hollister, after closing its previous Calgary location in 2023, the brand shifted its focus towards its online shopping experience. Over the past few years, the brand has moved away from its original image and refreshed its stores with a more modern look.
Now, the brand appears to be making its way back to the city with a new location at CF Chinook Centre. Signage for the upcoming store was recently spotted inside the mall, and while no official opening date has been announced yet, recent job postings on Indeed suggest the brand is already preparing for its return.
The Indeed postings include retail positions such as brand representative, assistant manager, and key lead. So, if you’re looking for a new job opportunity or know someone who might be interested, it’s worth applying now before it opens its doors to the public.
Abercrombie and Fitch also returns to the city
Hollister won’t be the only familiar name making its way back to CF Chinook Centre; Abercrombie and Fitch is also set to open a new location later this summer. The new location will be situated on Level 1, directly below the upcoming Hollister store. The brand also had a previous location at the mall, but has since started to make a return across Canada.
Looks like the early 2000s mall era is having a little comeback in Calgary. While we’re still waiting on official opening dates and more details, we’ll be keeping tabs on both locations and share any updates as soon as they’re announced.
