STYLELOFT, a hotel-specialized consulting firm with nearly 20 years of experience, has entered into a license agreement with HVS, the world’s largest hotel consulting organization, and will expand its advisory services in Korea across hotel planning, development, and asset transactions.
HVS is a global consulting and valuation organization specializing in the hotel and hospitality industry. It is recognized as a leading specialist organization in hotel feasibility studies, valuation, investment advisory, operations, and brand strategy. Since its establishment in 1980, HVS has built its “Global Perspective, Local Expertise” approach based on more than 50 global offices and over 150,000 assignments worldwide.
This approach is closely aligned with STYLELOFT’s advisory experience in the Korean hotel market. STYLELOFT has advised on global luxury hotel projects such as Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul, and Mandarin Oriental Seoul, while also carrying out upscale hotel projects including Courtyard by Marriott Pangyo, Namdaemun, and Suwon. Through these projects, STYLELOFT has accumulated both an understanding of global hotel standards and hands-on execution experience in the Korean market.
Chee Hok Yean, President, HVS Asia Pacific, said, “Korea continues to be one of Asia Pacific’s most compelling hospitality markets. STYLELOFT’s strong local market knowledge and project experience make them an ideal partner for HVS. By combining HVS’s global expertise with STYLELOFT’s on-the-ground capabilities, we are well-positioned to provide owners, developers, and investors with enhanced advisory services across hotel development, operations, and transactions.”
Mr Lee Hoon, CEO STYLELOFT, said, “The Korean hotel market has entered a stage where business feasibility can no longer be assessed based solely on simple demand forecasts. Through our agreement with HVS, we will support owners and investors in reviewing hotel planning, development, and asset transaction directions based on criteria that reflect both a global perspective and practical understanding of the Korean market.”
The agreement is meaningful in that it combines HVS’s global hotel market data and project experience with STYLELOFT’s local hotel development and operational execution capabilities. Based on this, STYLELOFT plans to strengthen its professional advisory services for early-stage hotel planning and development decisions, including feasibility analysis, brand introduction strategy, facility planning review, and operating structure advisory.
“This partnership reflects HVS’s commitment to delivering global expertise through trusted local partners. STYLELOFT has established a strong reputation in the Korean hospitality sector, and we are pleased to welcome them to the HVS network. Together, we look forward to supporting the continued growth and sophistication of Korea’s hotel industry,” said Stephen Rushmore Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer, HVS.
In addition, HVS’s global network is expected to be utilized in the area of hotel asset transaction advisory. Amid growing interest from overseas investors in the Korean hotel market, STYLELOFT plans to introduce domestic hotel assets to international markets, broaden points of contact with potential investors, and expand its service scope to include market analysis and transaction strategy advisory required for acquisition and disposal reviews.
