Indian Hotels Company has signed Ginger Sindhudurg in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. The property is a conversion of a standalone hotel.
The 50-key Ginger Sindhudurg will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, swimming pool, fully equipped gym, dedicated meeting rooms and a banquet hall for corporate gatherings, conferences and social celebrations.
“Sindhudurg is emerging as a sought-after leisure destination on Maharashtra’s Konkan coast, driven by improving connectivity, growing visitor footfall and increasing demand for short stay travel,” said Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president of real estate and development at IHCL. “Its accessibility from key feeder markets like Mumbai, Pune and Goa, along with its scenic coastline, positions the destination for sustained tourism growth.”
IHCL is partnering with Priyanka Sawant on the project.
“We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the Ginger brand to Sindhudurg,” Sawant said. “We look forward to working with IHCL and contribute to the destination’s growing tourism appeal.”
Sindhudurg, along Maharashtra’s Konkan coastline, is known for landmarks including Sindhudurg Fort, Sawantwadi Palace, Moti Talav Lake and Tarkarli beaches.
With the addition of Ginger Sindhudurg, IHCL will have 66 hotels in Maharashtra, including 34 under development.
