Marriott International has signed an agreement with KS Hotels to introduce The Luxury Collection brand to Cambodia and Laos by converting two boutique hotels: La Résidence Angkor in Siem Reap and La Résidence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang.

Marriott International has signed an agreement with KS Hotels to bring The Luxury Collection brand to Cambodia and Laos. The agreement covers the conversion of La Résidence Angkor in Siem Reap and La Résidence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang, marking Marriott International’s entry into Laos and the debut of The Luxury Collection in both countries.

La Résidence Phou Vao, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Luang Prabang, is expected to debut in October 2026. Located within tropical gardens overlooking Luang Prabang’s UNESCO-protected old town, golden temples, and the Mekong River, the property is expected to offer 41 rooms and suites featuring traditional Lao craftsmanship, with private balconies or patios. Planned enhancements include the introduction of ‘La Brasserie de la Résidence’ restaurant, offering French bistro cuisine and Lao dishes, open kitchens, and a poolside terrace. Additional planned facilities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, an outdoor yoga deck, a spa, two meeting rooms, and a retail boutique. Luang Prabang International Airport is approximately 4.9 km from the property, and Luang Prabang Railway Station is about 11.6 km away.

La Résidence Angkor, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Siem Reap, is scheduled to debut as part of The Luxury Collection in October 2027. Situated along the Siem Reap River near the entrance to Angkor Archaeological Park, the hotel is slated to offer 59 rooms, including 14 suites ranging from 40 to 126 square meters, as well as three residences with private outdoor pools. Planned dining options include La Brasserie de La Résidence, Khmer Funk, a café, an Explorer-themed cocktail lounge, and a pool bar. Guest facilities will include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a spa with six treatment rooms and hydrothermal facilities, one function room, and a boutique featuring locally crafted products. Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport is located approximately 45 km from the property.

Upon completion of the rebranding, La Résidence Phou Vao will mark Marriott International’s entry into Laos, while La Résidence Angkor will join the company’s portfolio in Cambodia, which includes properties in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. These additions will expand The Luxury Collection’s presence in Southeast Asia, complementing existing hotels in Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Both hotels will operate under Marriott International’s franchise framework. As part of The Luxury Collection and Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, the properties will offer Destination Discovery experiences focused on the cultural, artistic, and historical heritage of Laos and Cambodia.
