MTV dropped the trailer for the final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, teasing an emotional goodbye nearly 15 years after the franchise first became a pop culture phenomenon.
The preview leans heavily into nostalgia, flashing back to the cast’s early days while showing how much their lives have changed. But it’s not all sentimentality, because there’s still plenty of drama packed into the farewell run.
The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation trailer highlights several major milestones. Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola’s wedding (which took place on ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s birthday) and pregnancy announcement. This, of course, led the cast to inquire with Pauly DelVecchio’s longtime girlfriend, Nikki Hall, about children.
Her response? “I don’t know, have you asked Pauly?”
Cameras also captured Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino opening his very own Archangels Rehabilitation Center.
What has us most curious about the last season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation includes a tearful Jenni “JWoww” Farley in a confessional and what has Ortiz-Magro, 40, saying, “It’s kind of f–ked up because I don’t want to get out of bed,” and who Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is telling to “leave him.”
Longtime friendships appear to be tested once again, with emotional confrontations, group blowups, and tearful moments suggesting the roommates’ final chapter won’t be without conflict.
At the same time, the final season is sure to underscore how far the cast has come. From raising families to celebrating sobriety milestones and expanding their careers, the season promises to balance growth with the wild dynamic that made the series a hit in the first place.
The upcoming installment will serve as the show’s last, wrapping with 18 episodes that bring the long-running reality franchise to a close. However, the Jersey Shore cast has teased the story “will continue,” but there hasn’t been clarity on what that means yet.
Watch the final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premieres Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
