Canada’s popular annual fireworks are set to return for their nightly experience this summer. The Niagara Falls Summer Fireworks program will kick off this May, and here’s everything you need to know.
There’s something so fun and nostalgic about making a trip down to Niagara Falls in the summer. Nights on Clifton Hill are definitely one of my favourite experiences I look back on, especially as the warmer months approach. Another trip down to Niagara Falls is now on my summer bucket list, and now with an even bigger reason.
The Niagara Falls Tourism group announced the return of the popular fireworks series that will bring a five-minute show each night starting May 15 to Oct. 12, 2026.
The stunning display of pyrotechnics will illuminate the night sky, soaring above the Falls, offering a beautiful show against the backdrop of both the American Falls and Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
There will be two special extended fireworks shows, scheduled to celebrate both sides of the Falls on July 1, 2026 and July 4, 2026. According to the tourism group, those nights will feature fireworks displays that will run for nine minutes.
Where to get the best views of the fireworks
If you’re looking to get stunning views of the fireworks, Niagara Falls has a number of vantage points. Some of these include outdoor spaces in Niagara Parks, the Skylon Tower and Niagara SkyWheel, on the Falls Fireworks Cruise with Niagara City Cruises, and indoors at the many hotels and restaurants with views of the Falls.
Or you can keep it classic and hit up the falls for a closer look. That is, of course, the crowds permit it.
The fireworks will take place at 10 p.m. each night and, of course, they’re free to enjoy.
No ride down to the Falls? There is a daily GO Train service to Niagara Falls, and a GO Bus service from Burlington GO. So there’s no excuse not to go this summer.
Now all you have to figure out is who’s going with you.
