In Brief: The Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake has announced the appointment of Nicolas Senes as its new General Manager, marking a key change in the hotel’s leadership.

Nicolas Senes has been appointed General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake. Senes began his career with Four Seasons in 2004 at Four Seasons Resort Provence at Terre Blanche, France, where he held several roles in Food & Beverage. He has held leadership positions in France, Singapore, China, and Indonesia.

Since October 2021, Senes has served as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, focusing on operational performance, team culture, and guest experience. Before his role in Bali, he held senior Food & Beverage leadership positions within Four Seasons, including Director of Food & Beverage in Bali and Shanghai, and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in Guangzhou.

Senes currently serves as APAC Regional Spa Lead and has participated in Food & Beverage Division Reviews across Asia. He has supported operational initiatives through task force assignments, including serving as Hotel Manager Task Force at Four Seasons Hotel Osaka. He was named Hotel Manager of the Year at the Stelliers Asia 2025 awards.

Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake is located within the UNESCO-listed West Lake. The hotel features Song Dynasty-inspired architecture, the Michelin-starred Jin Sha restaurant, and wellness experiences based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
