Precise Resort Tenerife has opened in Puerto de la Cruz after a two-year, €10 million renovation.
Precise Resort Tenerife is now open on the northern coast of Tenerife, following a €10 million renovation over two years. The 4-star property is located in Puerto de la Cruz, set on a cliff above the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by 40,000 square meters of botanical gardens.
Originally built in the late 1970s as the Maritim Hotel Tenerife, the resort has been fully reworked while retaining its vertical silhouette above the shoreline. The hotel now offers 153 guest rooms, including sea-view and valley-view rooms, family rooms, and suites. Most rooms feature private balconies facing the Atlantic Ocean, the Orotava Valley and Mount Teide, or the resort’s gardens. Suites include separate living areas.
The gardens have been redesigned as a botanical journey inspired by Alexander von Humboldt’s historic connection to Tenerife. Every plant species on the grounds has been mapped and catalogued, with the majority endemic to the archipelago.
Resort facilities include two heated freshwater pools, a children’s pool, tennis and padel courts, yoga and Pilates sessions, an 18-hole mini-golf course, and a fitness studio. The on-site dive centre provides access to Tenerife’s volcanic rock formations and marine life. The spa is located on the cliff edge and features micro-cement, black basalt, rustic wood finishes, an outdoor jacuzzi above the water, and sauna cabins. Treatments use Sodashi products.
Dining options include Mar Océano, the main restaurant overlooking the shore, and La Bodega, an à la carte dining room. Chef Ronen Dovrat Bloch leads the kitchen, with a menu influenced by Canarian produce, North African spices, and maritime cooking traditions from Portugal and Madeira.
The property features a collection of limited-edition, hand-signed mid-century watercolours by Spanish artist Tomás Galán Ulla, depicting scenes of island life.
The resort is within an eight-minute walk of Loro Parque and a short drive from the historic centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Teide National Park is also within reach.
