Rimrock Banff has opened in Banff National Park as the first North American property in Emblems Collection. The opening is the collection’s second globally, following Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in the English countryside.

The resort is built into a mountainside above the town of Banff within Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its terraced structure extends toward the Bow Valley. The redesign retained the property’s original architectural structure and added expansive windows, natural materials and framed views of the surrounding landscape.

Rimrock Banff has 320 guestrooms, including 57 suites. Guestroom layouts place beds, seating and dedicated spaces for stillness to face views of the Canadian Rockies. Interiors include warm wood tones, natural stone and tactile textiles.

The Infinity Two-Bedroom Suite includes a wraparound terrace of more than 1,260 square feet, a barrel sauna, a fire table and views across Banff National Park. Wellness Studio suites include movement and recovery amenities, wellness minibars, sleep-focused features and access to the resort’s Expeditions gear-lending program.

The 9,600-square-foot Bathhouse includes indoor and outdoor thermal environments, vitality and hot pools, a mountain-facing infinity pool, salt sauna, aromatic steam room and glacial cold plunges. It also includes a suspended meditation room and the Aurora sensory room.

A 3,800-square-foot Active Center has Technogym and Peloton equipment, climbing and bouldering walls, guided movement classes and recovery-focused offerings.

The resort’s Expeditions Center provides access to more than 50 seasonal activities involving adventure, wellness, culture and nature. The resort’s Pathfinders lead activities including privately guided hikes, forest bathing, alpine yoga, canyon ice walks, Indigenous cultural encounters and excursions to the Athabasca Glacier.

Rimrock Banff has four food and beverage venues. Parker’s Table serves seasonal cuisine through relationships with local farmers, fishers and foragers. Rimrock Social is the resort’s central gathering place. The Listening Room offers rare spirits, wines and vinyl. Rimrock Market offers coffee and provisions.

Alpine Honey is the property’s Emblematic Ingredient, used in culinary offerings, wellness tonics and the Alpine Honey Spritz arrival ritual. Rimrock Banff works with Highland Farm Honey, a family-owned Alberta producer.

The property’s Travel Cake is a pine needle cake layered with alpine honey ganache. Emblems Collection’s Travel Cake was crafted in collaboration with Korean pastry chef Yun Eunyoung, founder of Seoul-based Garuharu, with each property creating its own version.

Rimrock Banff’s Emblems Editions literary collection includes poetry, historical accounts, essays and perspectives from Indigenous peoples, pioneers and writers connected to Banff National Park. The resort’s Master Pathfinder leads a team of Pathfinders that creates itineraries in the park.
