Daytime Emmy Winner Cady McClain has taken to social media to share a rare throwback photo from her younger days.
McClain took to her personal Instagram account and posted the vintage photo of herself at 15, taken on Laguna Beach.
The actress began her professional career in 1982 with the film My Favorite Year. She then got her start in television on the cult classic series St. Elsewhere in 1983. The actress would take on her most recognizable role in 1988 when she joined the ABC soap opera All My Children as Dixie Cooney, a role that had been originated by actress Kari Gibson a few months prior.

McClain’s on-screen chemistry with her All My Children co-star Michael E. Knight, who played beloved legacy character Tad Martin, catapulted the pairing to the top, with viewers tuning in to see the relationship flourish and the dynamic they shared.
The actress would then go on to play Rosanna Cabot on As The World Turns beginning in 2002, and assumed the role of the beloved legacy character Jennifer Horton in 2020.
McClain currently portrays Pamela Curtis on CBS daytime’s newest soap opera, Beyond the Gates. Pamela is the best friend and business partner of one of the series dynamic leads, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
For her work on All My Children, As The World Turns, and Days of Our Lives, McClain was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award beginning in 1990, with her most recent award in 2021. McClain has been nominated for a total of eight Daytime Emmys, including her work on the webseries Venice: The Series.
In addition to her work in television and film, McClain has a background in theater, with multiple stage appearances in productions such as Wait Until Dark, Dames at Sea, Happy Birthday and Other Humiliations, Much Ado About Nothing, and many more.
