When Nadia Bjorlin joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in 1999 as Chloe Lane she quickly became a fan favorite.

Since making her acting debut on the soap opera, Bjorlin, 46, has left and returned to the show several times, having runs from 1999 to 2005, 2007 to 2011, and 2015 to 2023. The last fans saw of Chloe on their TV screens, she was headed to New York City with Philip and her son Parker.

In a recent interview, Bjorlin revealed that she was asked once again to reprise her role on Days of Our Lives, but had to turn it down.

“What I can confirm is that they did ask me,” Bjorlin said. “But logistically, it just didn’t make sense.”

She went on to add, “TV now and budgets and whatnot… It just didn’t make any sense, and I said no.”

Despite disappointment from fans, Bjorlin has a good reason for not coming back. She currently lives in Ireland with her husband Grant Turnbull, and their two sons, while Days films in Los Angeles.

Now rumor has it, Chloe’s character is being recasted, and Bjorlin has nothing but kind words for whoever is stepping into her shoes.

“It’s a different chapter of my life,” Bjorlin shared. “I wish another actor all the best, obviously, and whatnot, if that was their decision…. It’s OK. I’m OK because they did ask me and I said no.”

While she might not be returning to Salem, she is still acting, recently starring in the film, A Murder Between Friends. She is also set to star in the upcoming romance drama, Veronica & Julian, alongside another Days alum, Kyler Pettis.

And if we know anything about soap operas, there is always a chance Bjorlin will return in the future as Chloe Lane. Fingers crossed!
