Emmy Stoel has been appointed general manager of Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam, effective Sept. 1.
Stoel previously served as general manager of InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest and has more than three decades of international experience.
She previously led Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam and Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
In 2023, the European Hotel Managers Association named Stoel European Hotel Manager of the Year, citing leadership, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and talent development.
Stoel joins Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam, following the successful introduction of the Mandarin Oriental brand at the property under Susanne Hatje’s leadership.
Her responsibilities will include the hotel’s culinary and wellness offerings, talent attraction and development, and the property’s connection with Amsterdam’s cultural community.
