IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce all six of its Luxury & Lifestyle brands into Saudi Arabia by 2028, with hotels for each brand either already operating or in development. The company’s presence in Saudi Arabia began in 1975 with the opening of InterContinental Riyadh. IHG currently has 48 open hotels and 62 in the pipeline in the country.

The expansion includes the recent opening of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh, marking the debut of the Kimpton brand in the Middle East. Other brands in the Luxury & Lifestyle segment expanding in Saudi Arabia include InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Six Senses, Regent, Hotel Indigo, and Vignette Collection.

Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea opened in December 2023. Six Senses Amaala is expected to open in 2026, and Six Senses AlUla is scheduled to open in 2027. Regent Jeddah Corniche is due to open in 2027, marking the first Regent property in Saudi Arabia and the region. Hotel Indigo & Residences Al Khobar is expected to open in 2028, introducing the Hotel Indigo brand to the country.

IHG’s expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s tourism objectives, including the goal to attract 150 million visitors by 2030. The company is expanding its portfolio across Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, Essentials, and Suites segments. Its Riyadh office, established in 2023, supports owner relationships, hotel performance, and collaboration with public- and private-sector partners.

The introduction of IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle brands is part of a broader strategy to meet demand for luxury, design-led, and culturally relevant hospitality experiences in Saudi Arabia. IHG’s planned openings and pipeline developments are intended to support Saudi Arabia’s tourism development and Vision 2030 goals.
