The Season Producer works closely with the Artistic Director to support all Fringe Theatre season activities including Fringe produced events, one-night-only presentations, and workshops. This position will assist with reporting approved grants and funder support, issuing contracts, maintaining artist databases, and other administrative tasks to assist the Artistic Director and other departments as needed. Leading up to and during the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, the Season Producer will be responsible for stewarding relationships between the Programming department and Bring Your Own Venue producers who manage third party venues.

The Season Producer is responsible for:  
Facilitates artistic operations to support excellence and operational efficiency;
Supports the Fringe Theatre awards program including scheduling meetings with Artists and relevant departments;
Manages contract creation, compliance, and coordination of payment of artistic contracts for Chinook Series, co-productions, companies, actors, directors, Artists, musicians, workshop facilitators, and any artistic support staff;
Main communication touchpoint leading up to and during Season productions;
Liaison between Artists, co-producers, presenters and tour partners;
Coordinate all hospitality, including food/beverage and accommodations, as it relates to Season activity;
Acts as company support for contracted Artists as required;
Oversee program evaluations for Fringe lead Season activities;
Provides regular updates to the Artistic Director and relevant departments;
In collaboration with the Artistic Director and Executive Director, supports grant administration through statistical and narrative information and sales reporting; and
Adheres to policies, procedures, controls, and secure records management.

BYOV specific duties:
Main point of contact for BYOV Producers;
Maintain the BYOV Producer Manual which includes policies and expectations;
Support new venue applications and approval processes with the Artistic Director;
Manage safety and emergency response plans for third party venues;
Coordinate signage and ticketing equipment;
Support the Accessibility team in completing venue tours;
Respond to and manage emergent requests; and
Provide radical hospitality to BYOV producers.

Qualifications:
Minimum two years’ experience of arts administration;
Experience producing theatre and/or other performative arts is considered an asset;
Familiarity with various unions and associations including the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA), the Playwrights Guild of Cananda (PGC) and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) are considered an asset;
Strong communication and proof-reading skills, both written and verbal;
Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including excel spreadsheets;
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with excellent organizational and time management skills;
Ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment that responds to the evolving and innovative needs of a leading theatre arts company.

This is a permanent position with variable hours that generally follows a Monday-Friday schedule. However, it is reasonably expected that the Season Producer be available for the lead up, execution, and reconciliation of the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.
