Priscilla Presley has just introduced her fans to a new member of the family, and he’s absolutely adorable!
“Meet Toby,” Priscilla wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that she shared on Tuesday, October 13. In an accompanying video, the businesswoman, actress, and writer can be seen with a fluffy white dog sitting on her lap.
Explaining that Toby is a rescue pet, she tells those who are watching, “He was on the streets, and somebody told me about him, and this person knows that I’m an animal lover and a dog lover, so she told me about Toby here.”
Mentioning that “everyone loves” Toby, and that he even sleeps with her now that he’s been adopted by the star, Priscilla piled on praise for the pup, saying, “He is adjusted. He is a gem. He has been so good. He’s so loving and listens…”
The former wife of the late Elvis Presley continued, “We had a lot of patience with him because he is a rescue and he was rescued from the street, and he is 10 years old — which he doesn’t act like a 10-year-old.”
That patience, along with some love and attention, has resulted in quite a transformation.
“As you see him now, he was not like this,” Priscilla pointed out. “He was not taken care of. He was starving. And I could not believe… I don’t know how this dog got there. I don’t know if he ran away or not. I don’t know the background.”
While Toby has obviously found himself in a better situation now that he’s living with Priscilla, she’s also thrilled with how things have worked out when it comes to the sweet canine companion she’s gained. She told her social media followers, “All I know is I’m able to take care of him, and that he’s turned out to be the best little friend and dog.”
