As a part-time humour writer, I am always looking for ways to tickle readers’ funny bones.
Sometimes, though, in order to elicit a chuckle, all I need to do is take excerpts from “real” news articles from my media peers.
You may have seen my piece focused on actual words uttered by the top dude at the United Nations, and published by mainstream media outlets – Portuguese comic rising even faster than global sea level.
Today, I cite a single quotation from the Toronto Star, with Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s hilarious insult of U.S. President Donald Trump:
“I have more courage, more brains in my baby toe than he has in his whole body, so there you go.”
(Mic drop)
Either Mr. Ford needs an anatomy lesson, or this explains why these two politicians have such difficulty making good decisions; their brains have leaked into their lower extremities.
