Scandic has entered into a long-term lease agreement with Union Investment to operate a hotel property in Frankfurt. The hotel, located next to Messe Frankfurt, will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and be adapted to Scandic’s brand and operational standards before reopening in 2027. This development marks Scandic’s third hotel in Frankfurt.

The property will feature 296 rooms, an all-day restaurant and bar, a 100-square-meter outdoor terrace, and five ground-floor meeting rooms totaling 500 square meters for events and exhibitions. The refurbishment will include upgraded rooms, modern design, and the use of sustainable materials throughout the property. The hotel is expected to be certified according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

The hotel’s location in the northwestern part of Frankfurt will complement Scandic’s existing hotels in the city, Scandic Museumsufer in the south and Scandic Hafenpark in the east. Together, the three hotels will form a network around the city center.

The agreement with Union Investment is part of Scandic’s approach to reposition existing hotel assets in selected markets. The hotel is scheduled to reopen in 2027 following the completion of the refurbishment.
