A Hyatt affiliate has entered a franchise agreement with a CL Capital affiliate for the 130-room Oxford Witney Hotel, which is expected to join the JdV by Hyatt brand portfolio by the end of 2026.

InnPractice will operate the hotel following its expected transition to the JdV by Hyatt brand. The planned conversion would mark the brand’s first hotel in the United Kingdom.

Oxford Witney Hotel is within walking distance of Witney’s historic center, about 15 miles west of Oxford and within reach of the Cotswolds. The property is undergoing a transformation that will incorporate elements of Witney’s wool-making heritage and the Arts and Crafts movement into its interior design.

The hotel will have 130 guestrooms, a restaurant, a bar and 1,205 square feet of meeting and event space, accommodating up to 90 guests. The restaurant and bar will source produce from local suppliers.

Witney is the largest market town in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The town has a twice-weekly market, independent shops and local food outlets. The Corn Exchange, a 19th-century arts venue in Market Square, hosts live music, theater, comedy and talks.

Nearby sites include Cogges Manor Farm, Witney Lake and Country Park, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Minster Lovell Hall and locations across the Cotswolds. The River Windrush runs through the area.
