The end is not near for this fan-favorite roller coaster.
After much online speculation, the former Fun Spot America roller coaster, ArieForce One, has found a new home with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. The acquisition of the celebrated steel roller coaster was announced today by North America’s largest regional amusement-resort operator.

ArieForce One made its debut at Atlanta’s Fun Spot America in 2023 and “captured the imagination of thrill-seekers around the world and quickly earned recognition as one of the most acclaimed coaster experiences of the modern era.” Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, it quickly garnered a devoted following because of its signature nonstop intensity, airtime moments, relentless pacing and inversions, becoming a bucket-list attraction for coaster enthusiasts from all across the globe.
Its most notable elements include the world’s largest zero-gravity stall, multiple high-intensity airtime (negative-G) moments and an outward-banked airtime hill. In its short time at Fun Spot America, it would go on to win over fans and awards alike, including the 2023 Golden Ticket Award for Best New Attraction Installation from Amusement Today.
Atlanta’s Fun Stop America would close its doors forever on Aug. 2, 2026 after operating for more than three decades, leaving fans to speculate on the future on this short-live, yet beloved ride. ArieForce One is largely considered one of the best steel roller coasters ever built by serious and casual thrill-seekers alike.
“From the moment ArieForce One closed, we knew how much this coaster meant to the enthusiast community and to guests who traveled from around the world to experience it,” said Mark Pauls, chief operating officer of Six Flags in a press release. “This is a ride that consistently generated excitement, acclaim and passionate fan support. We are thrilled to preserve its legacy, invest in its future and bring this extraordinary attraction to a new generation of guests. This acquisition represents our commitment to delivering world-class thrills and creating unforgettable experiences across the Six Flags portfolio.”
ArieForce One will debut at a Six Flags park during the 2028-2029 seasons.

For now, coaster enthusiasts will be kept on their toes as to which park the acclaimed coaster will be headed to. Six Flags did share that it will honor the ride’s history and preserve its identity by maintaining its name, a salute to Fun Spot America founder John Arie Sr.
As the coaster community awaits solving yet another mystery, Six Flags shared that the attraction’s future location, reopening plans and construction timeline will be revealed at a later date. “Once reassembled and enhanced at its new Six Flags destination, the attraction is expected to become one of the premier thrill experiences in North America, drawing coaster enthusiasts, vacationers and adrenaline seekers alike,” Six Flags promised in a press release.

It’s an exciting time for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, with a number of pioneering projects in the works, including an upcoming world-record-breaking super flume attraction. ArieForce One joins a portfolio of other groundbreaking roller coasters, including Fury 325 at Carowinds and Millenium Force at Cedar Point.
