Marriott International, Inc. and CG Hospitality Global have entered into a multi-unit agreement to develop three new hotels in South Asia. The properties—The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu, The Westin Kathmandu, and JW Marriott Hotel Siliguri—are expected to open in 2031, adding approximately 450 rooms to Marriott’s portfolio in the region.
The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu will mark the brand’s debut in Nepal. Plans for the hotel include 150 guest rooms, including 30 suites, the Ritz-Carlton Club, five dining venues, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa. The property will also offer over 1,100 square meters of conference and event space. The hotel is located approximately 5 kilometers from Tribhuvan International Airport and within walking distance of Thamel, Narayanhiti Palace Museum, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple.
The Westin Kathmandu is planned to feature 150 rooms and suites, three dining venues, a WestinWORKOUT Fitness studio, the Heavenly Spa by Westin, a rooftop swimming pool, and over 700 square meters of meeting and banquet space. The property is located about 7 kilometers from Tribhuvan International Airport.
JW Marriott Hotel Siliguri is planned for Siliguri, India, and is expected to have 150 guest rooms and suites. The hotel’s design includes four dining venues, including a specialty restaurant, a Spa by JW, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and 1,500 square meters of banquet space. The property is located approximately 10 kilometers from Bagdogra Airport.
This agreement follows previous collaborations between Marriott International and CG Hospitality Global, including the opening of The Farm at San Benito, Autograph Collection in the Philippines and the announcement of JW Marriott Residences at Dubai Islands, Central. The companies recently marked 75 signings and 50 open properties for Series by Marriott in under two years.
