If you tell someone what they want to hear today they will thank you for it, but they won’t thank you later on when they find out you were being economical with the truth. Better to hurt their feelings now than lose them money later on.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):
Today’s Venus-Mercury link in your opposite sign means you must communicate openly and honestly with other people, while not expecting them to do the same for you. If they are happy being deceitful that’s up to them, but your standards are higher.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):
By all means push on with a task or project of some kind today, but if you find that the going is slow you might like to see that as a message from the universe to hold off for a bit. Give your previous efforts time to bed in.
CANCER (June 22 – July 23):
You may be sensitive to other people’s feelings but don’t expect them to be sensitive to yours. The message of the stars today is that you will need a thick skin when dealing with colleagues whose ambitions are at odds with your own.
LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):
The facts and figures may be all on your side but that won’t stop some people questioning if you know what you are talking about. Don’t waste your time trying to convince them, because they don’t want to hear. Trust yourself to move ahead without them.
VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):
If a friend or colleague makes a mess of what you are working on together don’t get angry with them. The only way they will improve is if you build up their confidence, so praise them for what they get right and leave the rest unsaid.
LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):
The more daunting the task you face today the more determined you will be to make a good job of it. You know that some people have doubts about your capabilities and you are determined to prove them wrong. They won’t doubt you much longer.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):
There can be no more excuses for delaying what has to be done. That means no more excuses from you, and no more excuses from other people. Identify your objective and go after it to the exclusion of everything else over the next 24 hours.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):
By all means look ahead and imagine where you might be and what you might be doing a month or a year from now, but don’t lose sight of what needs to be done this very moment. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):
Don’t worry that by doing something different you might damage your reputation. Worry instead that if you don’t do it you may forever regret not being more adventurous. If you fail, it will be no big deal. If you succeed, it will be a very big deal indeed.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):
You need to keep important people on your side and what that means more than anything is that you watch what you say to them. It’s good that you like to be honest but on this occasion honesty could be the last thing they want to hear.
PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):
Ideas will come thick and fast over the next 24 hours, but because mind planet Mercury is linked to Venus, currently going through its retrograde phase, some of those ideas could be hugely impractical. Only start what you know for sure can be finished.
