We’re in for a mostly sunny week ahead, and it’s nearly time to “spring forward,” which means early sunsets will soon be a thing of the past! From Vancouver Cocktail Week to Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (March 2-6).

Now in its fifth year, Vancouver Cocktail Week toasts to the city’s incredible beverage scene, inviting residents to enjoy sips of all kinds at venues across the city through happy hour specials, events, and seminars. In addition to spotlighting award-winning local bar talent, there will be visiting bartenders and beverage ambassadors from across the globe.

When: Sunday, March 1 to March 8, 2026

The Orpheum Theatre hosts Silent Movie Mondays every week, and this Monday, they’re screening It, accompanied by dramatic music played live on the historic Wurlitzer organ.

This week, the Canucks are facing off against the Dallas Stars.

A special edition of Upstart & Crow’s Translation Spotlight Series, Time, Memory, and Nostalgia is a night of contemporary Bulgarian literature and an exhibition of visual works (by Biliana Velkova).

The End of Tyranny is THIS Gallery’s newest exhibition, examining survival, stillness, and endurance through works shaped by artist Bravebirdie’s lived experience of war and displacement.

Starting this Friday, Vancouver’s International Mountain Film Fest is back at theatres across the city, Coquitlam, and West Vancouver with screenings and live guest appearances that mountain lovers won’t want to miss.

Known for their collaborative, vibrant music, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan are a popular Filipino singer-songwriter duo, and they’re performing at Queen Elizabeth Theatre this week.

The Vancouver Warriors hit the turf this week in a game against the Toronto Rock at Rogers Arena, kicking off the weekend with an exciting evening of action-packed lacrosse.

This Thursday, the Canucks are playung agains the Carolina Hurricanes.

With more than 75 participating eateries, Bite of Burnaby is back with a month-long celebration of the local food scene, including spots like Il Cappello Enoteca, Lee’s Donuts Brentwood, Mulligan’s Japanese Kitchen, Onggi Korean Cuisine, and Dageraad Brewing.
