We hope you’re enjoying these final few days of summer, Vancouver, because things are going to start cooling down by the end of the week. On the bright side, nature feels lush after the on-and-off-again rain this past month, and the trees are starting to turn into vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges. Summer may soon be over, but it’s truly a beautiful time of year to be out and about. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (Sept. 21-25).

Canada’s largest public participation campaign for the arts, BC Culture Days, is back and better than ever this year. Running from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4, there are thousands of events to check out across B.C., including stand-up comedy, an abstract art exhibition, historic walking tours, art and sip socials, and so much more.

The Vancouver Flamenco Fest is celebrating over 35 years with a stunning array of dance and music performances deeply rooted in the traditions and aesthetics of the global flamenco scene.

This week, you can check out a myriad of free masterclasses by Flamenco experts from across the globe, with options for beginner, intermediate, and advanced dance levels.

If you’re looking for performances to check out from an audience seat, Iminah Kani & Philippe Jean will be onstage for the Flamenco Guitar Concert on Tuesday, Sept. 22

This one’s for lovers of all things interior design. IDS Vancouver is the West Coast’s must-visit event, bringing together Canada’s top architects, interior designers, makers, manufacturers, and design enthusiasts for four days of exhibitions and keynote talks at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

GRAMMY-winning artist Chance the Rapper is bringing his 10th anniversary tour to Vancouver’s Freedom Mobile Arch this Friday, Sept. 25, known for hits like “No Problem,” “Blessings,” and “Same Drugs.”

Hot Off the Press is a celebration of all forms of printmaking, showcasing everything from screen printing to linocuts to giclees, all by talented local artists. The show is on display until Sept. 26 and is curated by Natasha Redwood-Scribe.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum still has immersive sailing experiences that explore Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it.
