Cheers to the last full weekend of February, Calgary! The city thrives in the winter, so there’s no need to stay home. Calgary is gearing up for a fun few days, and we have your itinerary.

Here are 10 of the very best things to do in Calgary this weekend.

On Feb. 20, 2026, Central Library will close its doors to the public and transform into the ultimate escape room, spanning all four floors.

The event promises a “brain-ticklin’, sneaker-shufflin trek” through the library, where participants will work on puzzles and challenges hidden throughout the building.

Time: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Central Library — 800 3rd St. SE.
Cost: $40

It’s the Year of the Horse, and it’s time to get excited about it! The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is inviting the city to come celebrate the Chinese New Year on Feb. 21 and 22, 2026, with free admission and a ton of festivities.

When: Feb. 21 and 22, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre – 197 1st St. SW.
Cost: Free admission

Head to the historic Shawnessy Barn on Feb. 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the fully curated, artisan market experience. Here you’ll find over 30 local artists, crafters, creators, markets, and so much more.

The Calgary Boat and Outdoors Show will bring hundreds of booths packed with everything an outdoors person needs. From lodges and outfitters to fishing and boating, camping gear and more.

Let it Be Beatles gives a look at the journey of the Beatles on their journey to fame, put on by Jubilations Dinner Theatre.

Cost: $79+ per ticket

Happening all February, East End Cold Spell brings a long list of “iconic” events to The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland.

This weekend, enjoy 25 musical acts, free ice skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more.

According to Tourism Calgary, National Aviation Day is celebrated annually on February 23. It marks the anniversary of Canada’s first powered flight by the Silver Dart. This upcoming weekend,  the Hangar Flight Museum will celebrate National Aviation Day with a full weekend of family-friendly programming. Tickets are still on sale!

Hit up Studio Bell this Dunfay for live DJ sets celebrating Black History Month. Show off your moves at this “old skool” party with Calgary’s DJ Gummi. He’ll bring a playlist of Canadian classics from hip-hop to R&B and pop.

Calgarians are invited to YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, where participating spots in the city can be ranked by locals to determine the cup of hot chocolate that rules them all.

The annual Penguin Walk has returned to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, and you can see them march at 10:30 a.m. daily.
