Wondering what to do in Calgary this week? Well, you’re in luck because the city is packed with things to do right now, from live music and comedy shows to night markets, sports watch parties, and even a rooftop opera.

We’ve rounded up some of the best events happening so you can skip the scrolling and go straight to planning your week.

Without further ado, let’s jump into it.

If you want to kick off your week with a laugh, Adam Ruby is hitting the Comedy Cave with his high-energy comedy style. His sets are fast-moving and full of storytelling that keeps the room engaged.

Burton Cumming and Randy Bachman are reuniting as The Guess Who for the first time in 23 years, bringing their “Takin’ It Back” tour to the Scotiabank Saddledome after reclaiming the band’s name in a legal battle. With Don Felder of The Eagles joining as a guest, the tour is set to be an exciting night for classic rock fans.

June and July at Spruce Meadows are full-day summer experiences packed with live outdoor music on weekends, Friday Movie Nights under the stars, and some of the most exciting competition you will see all summer.

Across the grounds, you will also find Kids’ Zone activities, mini animal petting zoos, food vendors, and local shops, all leading up to the world-class international show-jumping as the main event of the weekend.

When: Tournaments run June 5 to June 7, June 12 to June 14, June 26 to 28, and July 3 to July 5, 2026, with movie nights running every Friday

Get ready for a rooftop night of live opera in downtown Calgary. Evening Echoes features some of Alberta Vocal Arts’ top performers at the ONEUP rooftop patio, with sweeping city views and a mix of opera favourites.

Catch the Calgary Surge as they take on the Saskatoon Mamas in an exciting matchup.

Where: WinSport Event Centre – 88 Canada Olympic Rd. SW, Calgary, Alta.

The Grand is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with a screening of the 1986 classic. Along with the movie, there will be 80s costume contests and themed treats for a fun throwback night out.

Head over to The Confluence for an Alberta True Crime Tour exploring some of the province’s most intriguing historical crime cases. The outdoor guided experience shares stories from Alberta’s past in an immersive setting along the river.

Catch all the World Cup action at The King’s Head with a packed watch party, big screens, and an electric game-day atmosphere.

The Inglewood Night Market returns this month for an evening filled with local vendors, food trucks and live entertainment in one of Calgary’s most walkable neighbourhoods.

Dallas Smith is bringing his Unplugged Full Band Tour to Spruce Meadows as part of the Live & Intimate Concert Series. The show offers a close-up experience with one of Canada’s top country artists. Fans can expect acoustic versions of hits like “Wastin’ Gas” and “Like and Man.”
