It’s the first weekend of June, let’s make it a good one.

In Edmonton, with summer kicking off in a great way, there’s so much to do in the city. Whether you’re trying to get out of an escape room or you’re trying to get into the travelling amusement park, there’s something that’s certainly going to make your weekend.

Without further ado, let’s see what these next few days have in store!

There’s no question that Edmonton has some of the best escape rooms around. We’ve rounded up the best of them in a list for you to check out as a family, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to escape.

Cost: $25+

With rides, games, and sweet treats coming to Edmonton, we couldn’t be more excited. We have to say, if you’re looking for the best ride experience, this might be the fair to look out for. It has awesome kids’ rides and even bigger and better ones for adults, so you won’t miss out on any of the fun.

When: Now until Sunday, June 7, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Bonnie Doon Centre — 8330 82nd Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $1+

BeerFest Days is a six-day celebration taking place in downtown Edmonton. Bringing together arts, entertainment, beverages, and unforgettable moments with friends and family, you won’t want to miss out on this free event.

When: Now until Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Fort Edmonton Park is one of Edmonton’s most historic places. The Fort acts as its own time travel portal into the late 1800s. Throughout the winter and fall, it runs a couple of programs, but in the summer, the park truly comes to life. If you’re looking to get the full experience of the park, this is definitely the time to be going.

When: Now until Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday
Where:
7000 143rd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $27.90

This year-round market is home to over 120 different vendors, and more than 80 per cent of those vendors are local, who make, bake, and grow their own products. It offers so much more than you could ever imagine, so you’ll just have to check it out yourself.

When: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Where: 3696 97th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

With over 50 attractions to explore, not to mention the live rodeo happening in the town, Farmers’ Days is one of the highlight events bringing folks to Stony Plain.

When: Friday, June 5, 2026, to Sunday, June 7, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Heritage Park — 5100 41st Ave., Stony Plain, Alta.
Cost: $1+

This market in Old Strathcona has been around for ages, and it’s Edmonton’s most premier farmers market. Being the original year-rounder, this place offers the best locally grown and made goods as well as trinkets you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 10310 83rd Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Queen Mary’s Market is located in the heart of Edmonton and offers over 130 vendors, as well as five individual restaurants within the building. This market takes on strong local vendors with a selection of antiques, rare collectibles, local produce, artisanal goods, and services.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 12011 111th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

With over 200 vendors, this outdoor market is the largest of its kind in Canada, and you’d definitely be missing out if you didn’t stop by. No matter the weather, this market stands out in more ways than one.

This weekend will be the first market of the season, so don’t miss out!

When: Starting every Saturday from June 6, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 4 St. Anne St., St. Albert, Alta.
