You can be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day weekend in style!

We’ve rounded up some of the best things to do this weekend in Edmonton. Whether it’s celebrating the holiday, going to a festival, or watching a hockey game, we’ve got all your bases covered. So, whatever you’re looking to do, it’s right here.

This festival features the work of women in the arts of Edmonton, showcasing plays, music, and so much more.

Cost: $29.99+

For the first year ever, Igloofest is making an appearance in Edmonton. This festival isn’t about igloos, contrary to belief; instead, it’s an electrifying music festival.

When: Thursday, March 12, 2026, to Saturday, March 14, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Fan Park — 10104 104th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $53+

Fava Fest is the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta’s annual celebration of the remarkable film, video, and media artwork. This Friday will hold one of its screenings with a plethora of films.

When: Friday, March 13, 2026
Time: 6 p.m.
Where: Orange Hub Theatre — 10045 156th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Admission by donation

Friday Night Trivia is hosted each week at Telus World of Science’s Purple Pear Restaurant. This event is not only free but also family-friendly, so everyone can participate and compete.

With music from shows like Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, A Chorus Line, and so much more, you’ll find yourself fully immersed in the feminine musical energy.

Where: Winspear Centre — 4 Sir Winston Churchill Sq. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

On March 14, you can wander between the Art Gallery of Alberta, Citadel Theatre, and the Winspear Centre. Throughout the day, you can waltz through the art gallery tours, art activities, and live music all around the Arts District. Not only that, but all of these activities will be free for the day!

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Multiple locations in the Arts District

This Malla Market is themed Daytime Disco Market, featuring pilates on Sunday, as well as over 35 local makers and small businesses.

When: Saturday, March 14, 2026, and Sunday, March 15, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Where: Kingsway Mall — 109 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, Alta.

What better place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than at the local Irish pub? Starting at O’Bryne’s Irish Pub on Whyte Avenue, you can explore other bars and celebrate the holiday the right way.
