The city has been covered in a blanket of snow, and while it may be tempting to stay inside, I think it’s a sign to get out and embrace it. Toronto thrives in these conditions, and the fun doesn’t stop. So, let’s fill that calendar. These are 10 of the best things to do this weekend in Toronto.

A classic movie comes alive on stage.

The Mrs. Doubtfire musical is happening all weekend at Princess of Wales Theatre, and tickets are still available.

When: Friday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026
Where: Princess of Wales Theatre – 300 King St. W.
Cost: $69+ per ticket

Skate by the Lake offers gorgeous views of the city while you, you guessed it, skate.

It’s free to use and open all weekend.

Where: Harbourfront Centre – 235 Queens Quay W.
Cost: Free admission

Calling all 2026 brides!

Canada’s Bridal Show is this weekend, so if you’re starting to book vendors and aren’t sure where to start, start here.

When: Friday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026
Where: Metro Toronto Convention Centre – 255 Front St. W.
Cost: $26 per ticket

The Bentway is a figure loop rink under the Gardiner. It’s easy to get to, and it’s free to enjoy.

Weekend plans don’t have to be hard.

With the backdrop of all this snow, skating is a great idea this weekend.

Hangar Skate is free to attend, and there’s music and a few other festivities you can take advantage of.

North America’s largest indoor boat show is in Toronto this weekend, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Grab your tickets and get ready to sail away.

Where: Enercare Centre – 100 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $26 per ticket

The Raps are at home Friday night in a battle against the Clippers.

Grab your tickets, grab a pal, and enjoy some ball.

When: Friday, Jan. 16
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena – 40 Bay St.
Cost: $108+ per ticket

Let’s go girls!

The Battle on Bay Street is this weekend, meaning the Sceptres are playing at Scotiabank Arena, taking on Vancouver.

When: Saturday, Jan. 17
Time: 3 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena – 40 Bay St.
Cost: $52.50+ per ticket

Evergreen Brick Works is hosting free family-friendly films in a warm indoor space on select Saturdays in January and February.

The first 175 people will get a spot, with food and drinks available to purchase.

This weekend’s movie is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

When: Saturday, Jan. 17
Time: 6:30 p.m.

There’s one sure-fire way to forget about all this snow.

Stackt Market is hosting Jamacia in January again this year, featuring music, Jamaican food delicacies, a marketplace and prizes to be won.
