28 May 20265 Mins Read

We’re in for another fabulous weekend in the city! This week flew by, but hey, we’re not complaining. Luckily, there are tons of things to do in Toronto this weekend that will make you want to head out and get some fresh air.

Here are 10 of the best things to do this weekend in Toronto.

Following a successful activation in Vancouver a few months ago, Shein is celebrating its Summer 2026 edition by taking over the massive lot at 341 Queen St.

It’s where the former Zara Queen West location once stood. Shoppers can check the wide selection of summer finds from Thursday, May 28, to Sunday, May 31.

When: Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 341 Queen St. W., Toronto, Ont. (former Zara Queen West location)

According to a press release, this exhibition will feature a curated selection of iconic works spanning the artist’s career and lasting cultural impact.

The showcase will bring together works produced posthumously over the past 25 years by the estate. These include the newest release, King Alphonso, 1982/2025.

This work is a limited-edition screenprint of 60 pieces and reflects recurring themes found throughout Basquiat’s career, which include power, identity, race, and mythology.

When: Thursday, May 28 to Thursday, June 11, 2026
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Taglialatella Galleries — 99 Yorkville Ave.
Cost: Free

The weather is going to be nice and right for this one. On Saturday, May 30, all Scooped by Demetres locations across the GTA will serve up free ice cream to the first 100 guests. They are celebrating their fifth anniversary the right way.

Here’s where you can find them:

  • Distillery District, 46 Gristmill Lane
  • CityPlace, 113 Fort York Blvd.
  • Waterworks Food Hall, 50 Brant St.
  • Square One, 100 City Centre Dr.
  • Scarborough Town Centre, 300 Borough Dr.

When: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: Varies by location
Where: Several locations

The third annual “RENNIE DAY” is back this weekend! “What started in 2024 as DJ Rennie’s birthday celebration has grown into one of Toronto’s most anticipated summer kick-off events, bringing together over 1500 guests for a night full of music, culture, and energy,” shares organizers.

“This year’s edition takes things even further with a fully transformed warehouse experience, featuring massive sound, surprise moments, and some of the city’s top DJs and curators. Expect a seamless blend of dancehall, hip hop, reggaeton, soca, afrobeats, R&B, and global sounds all in one space.”

When: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: 9 p.m. to late
Where: 131 McCormack St.
Cost: $40+

This next pick might be a bit of a distance from the downtown core, but trust us, it is worth the visit. The massive site spans a whopping 10,000 square feet and is packed with all kinds of great goodies up for grabs. We’re talking fresh seasonal fruits and veggies, specialty items like artisanal honey, and loads more.

The beloved annual event is back and will run every weekend until Sept. 27. Whether you’re looking to pick up art, stationery, candles, or just a fun knick-knack, head to the Kensington Flea Market this weekend.

When: Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: 11 a.m to 7 p.m.
Where: 216 Augusta Ave.

With multiple shows in Toronto, Bruno Mars can’t deny his love for the city. Unfortunately, the first night of The Romantic Tour was cancelled due to bad weather. It has since been rescheduled to Sunday, May 31. Tickets are still available for his upcoming shows.

If you’re familiar with the St. Clair and Wychwood community, then you’ve most definitely experienced the Wychwood Barns market – The Stop’s Farmers Market. When: Saturdays
Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 13 Benson Ave.

The Gluten Free Garage Fest is back this year, and it’s THE event for anyone who lives a gluten-free lifestyle. Celiac disease, gluten intolerance or other health issues that benefit from a gluten-free diet, this is your place to be!

When: Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: Morning and afternoon times sold out, afternoon still available: 2 p.m to 5 p.m.
Where: Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie St.

Another immersive experience is in Toronto, and this time it’s brought a vibrant, dreamlike world to life. Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will feature over 300 of Monet’s creations, transforming them into interactive works of art.

When: Running until Spring 2026; daily times, closed Tuesdays
Time: Timed entries
Where: YZD — 30 Hanover Rd.
