Welcome to the first weekend of February! From tennis to lacrosse, to the final days of Dine Out, to a Bad Bunny halftime show viewing party, here are 11 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend. (Feb. 6-8).

With the Lunar New Year rapidly approaching, now is the time to try something new at the Taste of Chinatown festival, a month-long celebration of one of Vancouver’s most iconic neighbourhoods. Whether it’s at the Chinatown Cocktail Showdown on Feb. 6, 2026, or a Sip and Paint Workshop on Feb. 15, 2026, there’s plenty to do this February. So why not see what’s on this weekend?

For one, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is hosting a special Lunar New Year Afternoon Tea service at Notch8, running between Jan. 9 and Feb. 22, 2026. Those who partake in afternoon tea get complimentary admission to the Chinatown Storytelling Centre throughout the festival.

This weekend, the Warriors are up against the Rochester Knighthawks, with both sides sure to bring the competition and fast-paced action.

When: Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 800 Griffiths Way

The Taboo Show is dedicated to enhancing lifestyles, encouraging romance, personal betterment and all things Taboo.

Enjoy entertainment, educational seminars, unique shopping, fashion shows and demonstrations.

You still have a couple of days to check out this year’s PuSh International Performing Arts Fest, a mid-winter celebration of all things bold and creative. The showcase brings together local, national, and international artists for a series of immersive shows and workshops.

Where: Locations across Vancouver
Cost: Varies per show, or $120 for a four-show pass or $165 for a six-show pass

The Rio is hosting a completely free screening of the Super Bowl, allowing guests to rally as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots. Of course, the party will really start to get wild when the halftime show commences, and Bad Bunny becomes the first Latino and Spanish-speaking artist to perform a solo act at the game.

Cost: Free admission, $5 to reserve a spot

The David Cup is on this weekend at UBC’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, so get ready to root for Team Canada as they face off against Team Brazil at this exciting international game of tennis.

Want to put a new relationship to the test, expose a situationship, or just have a laugh watching others do it? The Improv Centre on Granville Island has a show running on Fridays and Saturdays that explores the ups and downs of relationships, or lack thereof. No matter what your relationship status is, it’s bound to be a blast.

When: Fridays and Saturdays until Feb. 28, 2026
Time: 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1502 Duranleau St.

Hosted by Alliance Française Vancouver, this comedic theatrical production explores the age-old question of what defines “good” French, as there are so many different dialects that claim to be the best. In the show, two Acadians from southeastern New Brunswick (Bianca Richard and Gabriel Robichaud) confront the social stigma of being a “bad fanciophone.”

We’re in the final days of Canada’s largest food and drink festival, and there are still hundreds of participating restaurants to choose from. The festival showcases curated, fixed-price menus spanning everything from inventive seafood plates to vegan fare. Treat yourself to something new, and you might even discover your new fave restaurant!

Vancouver’s beloved Hot Chocolate Fest is back this January, and you’ll have almost a month to try warm, decadent sips at cafes and bakeries across Metro Vancouver. This year, there are 234 different flavours and 100 vendors to choose from.

The iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge is transforming for Valentine’s Day, with whimsical, romantic lights and decor through Feb. 22, 2026. Love Lights is the perfect backdrop for date night, but it can just as easily be a cute Galentine’s Day excursion or family outing.
