2-in-1 Trip: Toronto to the Azores and Cabo Verde, Canadian Deals

Azores Airlines is showing multi-city flights that allow you to fly to and visit both the Azores and Cabo Verde for $667 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

While the Azores are a little more familiar to those in the Toronto area, Cabo Verde is not a destination you hear too much about here in North America (Europeans are more familiar with it as a winter escape).

But thanks to their performance at the World Cup this year, the tourism spotlight shone on Cabo Verde as people started asking themselves, “Where in the world is Cabo Verde?”

Cabo Verde is an ‘island country’ (comprised of 10 islands) located around 600km off the west coast of Africa, known for it’s tropical climate, beautiful beaches, and volcanic peaks.

It’s pretty easy to travel between the islands of Cabo Verde, with ferry services and domestic flights between most of them.

For stays under 30 days, Canadians do not require a visa for Cabo Verde. However, everyone is required to submit the EASE online registration at least 5 days before departure, which costs $33 USD and includes the mandatory airport tax.

For trips longer than two weeks you can also try mixing and matching the start and end dates from the list above.

You can also find regular roundtrip flights between Toronto and Cabo Verde for a similar price, without the extended stay in the Azores.

But there is a 24 hour layover in the Azores on the way home.
