2020s Emo Band Announces 3 Special Performers in U.S. Tour

15 January 20263 Mins Read

Philadelphia-based emo band Sweet Pill has officially announced three special performers joining its upcoming U.S. headline tour.

The band revealed that Heart to Gold, SPACED and Stereosity will serve as support acts throughout the spring 2026 run, which coincides with the release of Sweet Pill’s sophomore album, Still There’s A Glow.

The announcement was made via Sweet Pill’s Instagram account, where the band shared its excitement about touring with the three acts. According to the post, the tour will span the United States and Canada and is positioned as Sweet Pill’s largest headline run to date.

The band described the lineup as one designed to appeal to a wide range of listeners, reflecting the varied sounds present within today’s emo and alternative scenes.

Sweet Pill’s tour begins on March 13, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the same day Still There’s A Glow is scheduled for release via Hopeless Records.

The tour includes stops in major markets such as Philadelphia, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and Denver, among others.

Sweet Pill Announces Special Guests for U.S. Tour

The three special performers joining Sweet Pill bring distinct backgrounds and styles to the tour. Heart to Gold is known for blending melodic punk and emo influences, while SPACED adds a heavier, hardcore-driven sound.

Stereosity contributes a modern alternative and punk approach, completing a bill that spans multiple corners of the emo and punk spectrum.

In its announcement, Sweet Pill stated it was “soooooo excited” to welcome the three bands on the full U.S. headline tour. The band emphasized that the lineup was selected to represent a range of sounds rather than a single subgenre, aligning with Sweet Pill’s recent musical direction.

The tour announcement follows the January 2026 release of Sweet Pill’s single “Glow,” the second preview from Still There’s A Glow. The track arrives after the December 2025 release of lead single “No Control.”

According to the band, “Glow” highlights Sweet Pill’s ability to move beyond strict genre labels while still maintaining its emo foundation.

Sweet Pill also confirmed that tickets are selling quickly in several cities, including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Houston and Denver. Additional dates in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Mesa and Salt Lake City are also seeing steady sales. The tour is scheduled to run through mid-April 2026.

Still There’s A Glow marks Sweet Pill’s first full-length release since its 2022 debut album, Where the Heart Is. The upcoming record was written and recorded over a three-year period and represents the first album fully created by the band’s current lineup. Production was handled by Matt Weber, with mastering by Dave Downham.

The album features 13 tracks, including “Sunblind,” “Shameless,” “No Control,” “Glow” and closing track “Letting Go.”

Sweet Pill formed in 2018 as a college project by vocalist Zayna Youssef and guitarist Jayce Williams while attending Rowan University. The band later expanded to include guitarist Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen and drummer Chris Kearney.

After relocating to Philadelphia during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sweet Pill began touring extensively and released Where the Heart Is in 2022 via Topshelf Records.Since then, the band has supported established acts such as La Dispute and The Wonder Years and has appeared at festivals including Riot Fest, Best Friends Forever and Outbreak.

Sweet Pill signed with Hopeless Records in 2023 and has continued to build momentum through touring and single releases.
