While John Cena is known for his WWE fame, along with starring in projects like Peacemaker and Suicide Squad, he now has a hit show on HGTV: Junk or Jackpot.
Former Queer Eye star Bobby Berk, who hosts Junk or Jackpot, recently revealed how Cena, 48, came up with the premise for the reality TV series.

“He was out at dinner one night with some friends, and they were talking about some of his crazy collections, and how he needed to get rid of some stuff because one of them had taken over too much space in his life and his house,” Berk, 44, said during the December 31 episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast. “And then they started talking about some of his fans and their crazy collections that they have of his stuff. He’s like, ‘God, this would be a cute show.'”

HGTV’s Junk or Jackpot follows Berk as he helps homeowners figure out whether their clutter is worth keeping or cashing in. In each episode, the home renovation expert evaluates a mix of sentimental items, antiques, and everyday objects to determine what holds real value and what is simply taking up space. Homeowners are then faced with a decision: sell off high value items to fund a renovation or keep pieces that matter to them personally.
“We come into these people’s lives when something that once was the heart and soul of their lives is starting to be the source of problems in their relationships or mental health issues,” Berk previously told Decider on December 26. “The thing that brought them the most joy is the thing that is actually causing the most harm now.”

He continued, “I’m used to helping people meet in the middle and make compromises. Saying goodbye to things that you’ve gotten a lot of pleasure from doesn’t have to be hard.”
