March is going to be an unusually busy month on the new Netflix Originals front with (finally) some more movies coming up and some big series hitters too, including a few from outside the United States. Below, we’re going to provide an early look at the Netflix Originals we’re most hyped for throughout the month.

We’ll have a fuller look at what’s coming up throughout March 2026 in the US and UK in the weeks to come, including all the licensed titles, so keep an eye on our Coming Soon to Netflix section for the latest. Until then, we are already cataloging all removals scheduled for March 2026, and it’s going to be a busy month.

Now, let’s get into 8 Netflix Original movies and series that should be on your radar for next month:

March 5th

Vladimir (Limited Series)

Kicking off the month is a prestige limited series that has “awards season” written all over it. Based on the acclaimed debut novel by Julia May Jonas, Rachel Weisz stars as a provocative, middle-aged college professor who finds her orderly life unraveling when she becomes dangerously obsessed with a charismatic young novelist (played by The White Lotus and One Day breakout Leo Woodall). With Weisz also serving as executive producer and John Slattery rounding out the cast, this show is hoping to continue Netflix’s hot streak in the limited series arena for 2026, already with HIS & HERS looking set for Netflix’s all-time most-watched list.

March 6th

War Machine

War Machine New On Netflix

If you’re missing your fix of Reacher on Prime Video, Netflix has the perfect antidote. Alan Ritchson stars in this new sci-fi action thriller that looks to be one of the service’s biggest swings of the year with the streamer teaming up for Lionsgate for this particular title.

Directed by Patrick Hughes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), the film follows a group of elite Army Rangers during their final 24 hours of selection. What starts as a grueling but controlled training exercise in the Australian wilderness turns into a literal war for survival when the unit encounters a “mechanoid”—a towering, otherworldly mechanical threat.

Ritchson is joined by a heavy-hitting supporting cast including Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, and Jai Courtney. Early teasers suggest a vibe somewhere between Predator and District 9, so expect plenty of practical effects and Ritchson doing what he does best: kicking ass.

March 10th

One Piece (Season 2)

The Straw Hat Pirates are finally back! After what feels like an eternity since the first season smashed records in 2023, Luffy and his crew are officially entering the Grand Line. Subtitled “Into the Grand Line,” this season covers massive fan-favorite arcs including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, and the snowy peaks of Drum Island.

The scale looks significantly larger this time around, and we’ll finally see the live-action debuts of Tony Tony Chopper, Princess Vivi, and the villainous Sir Crocodile (played by Joe Manganiello). If you’ve been following our production updates, you’ll know this season had a massive budget—and from the teasers, every penny is on the screen.

The only question we still have is why Netflix has opted to release this so early in the week, on a Tuesday no less… We still don’t have a good answer.

March 12th

Virgin River (Season 7)

Comfort TV returns mid-month with the seventh outing of Virgin River. This season picks up almost immediately after the dramatic Season 6 finale. We’ll see Mel and Jack navigating their new life as a married couple while the mystery of Charmaine’s disappearance hangs over the town.

Even better news for Virgin River fans is that season 8 is not only confirmed, but it’s due to get into production in April, meaning that we should see even more on our screens by either very late 2026 or, more likely, in early 2027.

March 13th

That Night (Season 1)

Netflix Spain has been on a roll lately, and That Night (an adaptation of the Gillian McAllister bestseller) looks like another winner. The thriller follows three sisters on vacation in the Dominican Republic whose lives change in an instant after a fatal car accident. Starring Clara Galle (Raising Voices), this is a “how far would you go for family” drama that explores the messy, criminal aftermath of a split-second mistake. If you enjoyed The Snow Girl or Elite, put this on your watchlist.

March 20th

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

By order of the Peaky Blinders, the Shelby family moves from the small screen to a global Netflix film event. Set in Birmingham during the 1940s against the backdrop of World War II, Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby for what is being described as the definitive final chapter of his story.

The cast for this movie is frankly ridiculous, featuring Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth. While it’s getting a limited theatrical run starting March 6th, it lands globally on Netflix on the 20th.

March 26th

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen

Produced by The Duffer Brothers (the duo behind Stranger Things, who also have another show scheduled for 2026 called The Boroughs), this atmospheric horror series centers on a “doomed wedding week.” Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco star as the happy couple whose nuptials turn into a living nightmare.

Not much is known about the “bad thing” that actually happens—Netflix is keeping the plot under heavy lock and key—but with Haley Z. Boston (Brand New Cherry Flavor) showrunning, expect something surreal, psychological, and genuinely terrifying.

March 26th

Detective Hole

Rounding out the month is a treat for Scandi-noir fans. Based on the legendary Harry Hole novels by Jo Nesbø, Tobias Santelmann takes on the role of the tormented detective in this nine-episode series.

Set in the cold, grey streets of Oslo, the first season primarily adapts The Devil’s Star. Harry must hunt down a serial killer while clashing with his corrupt rival, Tom Waaler (played by Joel Kinnaman). With Nesbø himself writing the scripts, this looks to be the most faithful adaptation of the books to date.
