Furies Season 2 Release Date and Trailer for Crime Thriller Revealed by Netflix

After a quick renewal in September 2024, the intense crime show featuring intense characters is returning next March. Here is what to know about the upcoming season.

After the debut of Les Lionnes, a lighter take on an intense crime drama, Netflix France is gearing up for the return of an intense underworld thriller that quietly shot throughout 2025: season 2 of Furies is set to premiere on March 18th, two years after the first season. To emphasize the brand-new chapter, the trailer subbed this sophomore season “Resistance”.

The eight new episodes feature the return of main cast Lina el Arabi as vengeful Lyna, and Marina Foïs as contracted killer Selma.

In the shadowy maze of Paris’s criminal underworld, Lyna’s quest to avenge her father pulls her deeper into a destiny she never wanted. Once longing for the quiet promise of a normal life, she becomes entangled with the Furies, the ruthless peacekeepers who balance the city’s fragile underworld order. Now, with the ultraviolent paramilitary force Damoclès tightening its grip and forcing the Furies into submission, Lyna refuses to bow or break. Choosing a far more dangerous path, she agrees to infiltrate her own “family” for the police in exchange for her freedom, a gamble that could cost her everything. Meanwhile, Selma moves in the shadows with plans of her own, setting the stage for a deadly collision of loyalty, fate, and survival.

As for the creative crew, there shall be old and new faces. According to producer Empreinte Digitale, this season has been written by cocreators Jean-Yves Arnaud and Yoann Legave alongside newcomers to the show Ami Cohen, Mathieu Missoffe, and Louis Aubert. On the directing side, Cédric Nicolas-Troyan returns from season 1 and is likely to split directing duties (half a season each) with Ludovic Bernard.

Bernard is no stranger to Netflix, having directed two episodes on the third season of Lupin. The series will continue with El Arabi, Foïs, and Jérémy Nadeau; with Steve Tientcheu listed as Simon Mosley, Quentin Faure as Nikolas Ghica, and Sandor Funtek as Orso. The additional cast for this new season has not been confirmed yet.

Since Furies was released on Netflix, the series has garnered 192.2M viewing hours globally, equating to 32.1M views.
