The Canmore Summer Theatre Festival (CSTF) is an annual outdoor theatre festival. A unique aspect of the CSTF is that volunteers from Pine Tree Players perform alongside and learn from theatre professionals and emerging artists. We have roles for volunteer actors and professionals.
This year, the CSTF team is excited to present Anne of Green Gables by Ashley Griffin, based on the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, directed by Chelsea Howell-Fellows and Little Women by Marian De Forest, adapted from the story by Louisa M Alcott, directed by Shelby Reinitz. Performances will take place outdoors at the Stan Rogers Stage in Centennial Park, Canmore.
ABOUT ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: The beloved story of Green Gables brought to life by the students of grown-up Anne’s classroom! This Canadian classic rooted in the heart of community reminds us that finding one’s place in the world is a journey best traveled with the support and love of others.
This play contains depictions of Verbal abuse and bullying; Youth drunkeness (inadvertent); Death of a family member.
ABOUT LITTLE WOMEN: This play tells Louisa May Alcott’s classic tale of awakening in a simple and effective manner. Beautiful, amusing, and meaningful, this telling of the March sisters’ pivotal years on the verge of womanhood imparts cheer and hope for the goodness of mankind.
This play contains Mentions of War; Depictions of Intimacy – kissing and familial touch; Poverty; Sexism/Traditional gender roles (era accurate); Illness and Death.

You have the option of doing an in-person audition or sending us a video. In-person auditions will take place in Canmore February 24 and 26, 2026.
