Three blanco tequilas to toast International Margarita Day

Depending on whether you perceive your margarita glass as half full or half empty, mastering this classic cocktail can be straightforward or quite challenging. Traditionally consisting of two parts tequila, one part triple sec or another orange liqueur and one part lime juice, most variations are shaken and served in a coupe glass with a salted rim.

There is ample opportunity for creativity beyond those basics as you adjust your drink to match your individual preferences and mood. The peppery and herbal character is more refined, showing cucumber, basil and lemon grass notes with lemon and grapefruit notes. This has 40-per-cent ABV.
