Heads up, Vancouver! The week just rolled by, and we’re already at the end of February. Let’s kick it off with some fun. From a film festival to a Whitecaps game, to a house music series, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Feb. 27-March 1).

The Whitecaps are up against Toronto FC this weekend, and you won’t want to miss what is sure to be an action-packed game at BC Place.

Where: 777 Pacific Blvd.

With more than 75 participating eateries, Bite of Burnaby is back with a month-long celebration of the local food scene, including spots like Il Cappello Enoteca, Lee’s Donuts Brentwood, Mulligan’s Japanese Kitchen, Onggi Korean Cuisine, and Dageraad Brewing.

Every Saturday, 33 Acres hosts a late-night party at its Vancouver and Calgary breweries, with local and visiting DJs spinning irresistible house beats. Music starts at 8 p.m., and you’ll definitely want to arrive early to secure your spot and your brew.

Starting this Friday, Vancouver’s International Mountain Film Fest is back at theatres across the city, Coquitlam, and West Vancouver with screenings and live guest appearances that mountain lovers won’t want to miss.

An iconic live painting night and competition is back in North Vancouver at the end of this week. The high-energy showdown will feature live DJs, drinks, and a battle of the brush that will end with a crowned winner.

Now in its fifth year, Vancouver Cocktail Week toasts to the city’s incredible beverage scene, inviting residents to enjoy sips of all kinds at venues across the city through happy hour specials, events, and seminars. In addition to spotlighting award-winning local bar talent, there will be visiting bartenders and beverage ambassadors from across the globe.

Canadian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter started out as part of a New Brunswick band called Flat Top, and has since become an independent artist and Juno Award nominee. He’s performing at the Vogue Theatre on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The Vancouver Golden Eyes are a new team, and they’re about to make waves during their inaugural hockey season at the Pacific Colliseum, where they’ll play against the Toronto Sceptres.

Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards is on her way to Vancouver to perform at the Commodore, beloved by fans of alt-country, folk, and heartland rock.
