Incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn will face a runoff challenge from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton after neither secured the necessary amount of votes to win the nomination.
On the Democratic side, voters are deciding between frontrunners U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and state Rep. James Talarico. A court ruling has put the result of this race into limbo.
Candidates must get more than 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff on May 26.
