a. It Was Just an Accident. The French film received two nominations: best international feature and best screenplay.

Many parts of the film were shot in Toronto, and the bulk of the movie’s nominees are Canadian. “My goal has always been to sustain, showcase and elevate every Canadian head-of-department, talent and partnership I feel would benefit from trust, faith and ambitious madness,” director Guillermo del Toro told The Globe.

c. KPop Demon Hunters. Its song Golden has become a worldwide hit, reaching the top of the charts in multiple countries. The animated movie is nominated for best original song and best animated film.
