‘Spy x Family’ Coming to Netflix US for the First Time Alongside Season 3 Setting International Rollout

Over the past several years, Spy x Family has grown to become one of the most beloved comedy anime and a major fan favorite. And for the first time ever, the anime will be available to stream on Netflix US from April 4, 2026. It’s unclear how many seasons will be coming to the US library, but we’ll find out soon.

Spy x Family is a popular Japanese comedy anime series and the adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga of the same name. By December 2025, over 41 million copies of the manga were in circulation, up by 33 million since May 2022.

The animation studios behind the series are Wit Studio and Cloverworks. Wit Studio was responsible for animating Attack on Titan, and is currently working on Netflix’s remake of the One Piece anime. Cloverworks also has a great relationship with Netflix, with anime series The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity and Wind Breaker currently available to stream. The anime is regularly available on Netflix in regions across Asia, and multiple seasons are available to stream in regions across Europe. However, thanks to Crunchyroll being the North American license holder for the anime, it has been exclusive to that platform instead.

As a part of his story as an undercover spy, Lord Forger, aka Twilight, marries a beautiful city hall worker, Yor, and together they adopt a daughter, Anya, and a dog. However, unknown to Lord Forger, his wife is a deadly undercover assassin, his daughter is a runaway psychic who can read the minds of everyone she meets, and the dog is from an experimental lab that gave him the power to see the future. To maintain their image as a perfect family, they all hide their true identities from each other, with hilarious and heartwarming results.

When is Spy x Family coming to Netflix US?

Netflix has confirmed that Spy x Family will be added to the US library for the first time on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

You can find the series in the Netflix US library, along with its release date. You can also set yourself a reminder for the anime for when it drops over the weekend.

Netflix has confirmed in its promo video for anime coming to Netflix in April 2026 that additional regions will receive the third season of Spy x Family. If this includes the US, the streaming service has yet to announce it. We’ll strive to find out before the release date, but we may not have confirmation until the day of release.

What else is new on Netflix?

A whole bunch of new anime has landed on Netflix recently, and there’s plenty more on the way, too!

On April 1st, all four seasons of Overlord returned to the US library, and in recent weeks, we’ve seen the addition of Pokémon Horizons: Season 3: Rising Hope (season 2), and the first episode of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. Not to mention, in March, we also saw the additions of Gintama, Mob Psycho 100, Toriko, Beastars‘ final season, and Wind Breaker.

In April 2026, anime fans can look forward to the additions of The Ramparts of Ice, Dandelion, Dorohedoro season 2, Wind Breaker season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Vivy Fluorite Eye’s Song, My Dress Up Darling, and brand-new weekly episodes of One Piece: Elbaf Island Arc.
