Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach has completed a comprehensive, multi-million-dollar renovation of its 405-room property on Royal Hawaiian Avenue in Waikiki. The project included a redesign of all guestrooms and a complete renovation of the 850-square-foot Penthouse, now positioned as a residential-style retreat on the 18th floor of the Ola Tower. The Penthouse features new guest rooms, designer furnishings, an executive kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and a wraparound outdoor terrace with views of the beach, city, and mountains.

The renovation, led by design firm //3877, introduced an open-air lobby and lounge overlooking a pool area, as well as new dining and retail concepts. The hotel now features CRATE, a grab-and-go outlet, and three dining venues: Aloha Amigo, Peppermint Café & Pool Bar, and Ali’i Coffee Co. Aloha Amigo, operated by ZETTON Inc., serves Mexican-inspired cuisine, while Peppermint Café & Pool Bar offers poolside dining and drinks. Ali’i Coffee Co. provides coffee, teas, and light food options.

The hotel’s three towers have been named Kalo, Mo’i, and Ola by cultural practitioner Ku’uipo Kumukahi of the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society. Kalo represents nourishment and cultural roots, Mo’i connects to ocean heritage, and Ola signifies health and vitality.

Communal spaces throughout the property have been updated, including the lobby, pool and patio areas, and meeting spaces. The main pool area features integrated fire elements and flexible seating. Additional amenities include a nine-hole mini golf course, an upgraded fitness center, Spa Pure Waikiki, and a saltwater pool in the Mo’i tower.

Guests have access to amenities such as bike and GoPro rentals, sand-free towels, sunscreen, and beach equipment. Partnerships with Beach Candy Waikiki and the Jamie O’Brien School of Surf provide access to beach gear and surf instruction. The hotel also offers complimentary fitness classes and recreational activities.

The renovation included updates to furnishings, finishes, and layouts in guestrooms and suites, with design elements inspired by local landscapes and Hawaiian culture. The property is located near shopping, art galleries, entertainment venues, Diamond Head, and Waikiki Beach.
