How Many TV/Movie Nominations and Wins Does The Streamer Have?

Another BAFTA Awards has passed, and Netflix put on another big showing with eight wins across film and television, including another crowning achievement for Adolescence.

Netflix’s esteemed drama Adolescence was the streamer’s big winner at the 2026 BAFTAs (The British Academy Film Awards) on Sunday, making history with star Owen Cooper becoming the youngest ever winner of the award for best supporting actor. For television, the streamer received the second most BAFTA nominations in its history. And as for movies, the success story wasn’t quite on the same scale, but Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein adaptation won big — especially for its stellar production and costumes.

How do Netflix’s 2026 BAFTA achievements compare to previous years?

Were the 2026 BAFTAs successful for Netflix?

At the 2026 BAFTAs, Netflix series received 20 nominations across 14 separate series. As expected, the big winner was Adolescence, which became the first Netflix series to win four times at the same ceremony. The drama won for: Supporting Actor (Owen Cooper), Supporting Actress (Christine Tremarco), Leading Actor (Stephen Graham), and Limited Drama Series.

Meanwhile, Grenfell: Uncovered marks the first time that a Netflix documentary has won a BAFTA under the category Single Documentary.

On the movie front, Netflix received 14 nominations, and the only winner was Guillermo del Toro’s gorgeous adaptation of Frankenstein. The picture won three BAFTAs: Costume Design (Kate Hawley), Make Up & Hair (Jordan Samuel, Cliona Furey, Mike Hill and Megan Many), and Production Design (Tamara Deverell, Shane Vieau).

How many BAFTA Award has Netflix won over the years?

Over the years, Netflix series and movies have swept BAFTAs. Some of Netflix’s most celebrated shows at the BAFTAs include The Crown (5 wins), Black Mirror (3 wins), and Baby Reindeer (3 wins). For movies, everything pales in comparison to World War I movie All Quiet on the Western Front, which won 7 times, breaking the record for the most wins for a non-English film.

Since 2017, Netflix films have received 152 BAFTA nominations, winning 33 times. For television, series have received 220 BAFTA nominations, winning 37 times.

Below, we break it down year-by-year.
