Alan Jackson is set to make a major television appearance this Memorial Day weekend as the country music legend continues his farewell tour.
PBS confirmed that Jackson will perform during the 2026 National Memorial Day Concert, airing live Sunday, May 24, from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The annual special will once again be hosted by actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise.
Jackson’s appearance comes during an emotional chapter in the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s career. The singer previously revealed that he has been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, an inherited neurological condition that affects balance, muscle strength and mobility.
“This disease is inherited from my daddy,” Jackson said during a 2021 appearance on the Today Show. “There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years.”
The condition has increasingly impacted Jackson’s ability to tour, leading the singer to announce that his current run of shows would likely be his last major tour.
Even so, the “Chattahoochee” singer has continued making select high-profile appearances, and fans have closely followed each performance amid growing speculation that his remaining concerts could mark the final opportunities to see him live onstage.
This year’s National Memorial Day Concert will honor 250 years of military service and sacrifice in the United States. Along with Jackson, the broadcast will feature performances by Mickey Guyton, Jamey Johnson, Andy Grammer, Laura Osnes, Blessing Offor and Mary McCormack alongside the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Jack Everly.
The special will also feature appearances by Noah Wyle, Jonathan Banks and Melissa Leo.
According to PBS, the concert will air live from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 24, with streaming also available on YouTube and PBS digital platforms. The broadcast will remain available on demand through June 7.
